At just 24 years old, Zanele had dreams like many young women her age. Living in a small township near Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, she was known for her talent in creating beautiful handmade dresses. Her goal was to open a small tailoring shop to support her family and teach sewing to other young women in her community. But everything changed when Zanele was diagnosed with kidney disease.

Her body began to swell, her energy faded, and everyday tasks became increasingly difficult. What started as discomfort soon turned into constant exhaustion, leading to frequent hospital visits. Doctors confirmed her kidneys were failing, and without regular dialysis, her condition would worsen rapidly.

Now, Zanele must travel long distances twice a week to receive life-saving dialysis treatments. These treatments are expensive, and the costs for transportation keep rising. Her family has already sold everything they could—goats, sewing supplies, and even furniture—just to cover medical expenses. Yet, despite these sacrifices, they are struggling to keep up with the mounting bills.
